Here are some common sand requests:

Cushion sand – is screened; free from rock, sand stones and clay.  It has an abundance of fines and is excellent for a planting medium.  This sand looks like sandy loam soil and is suitable for compost, soil blending as well as concrete framework. A typical tandem truck load is 10 cubic yards.

Fill sand – has not been screened and may contain various rock, sticks, clay or other materials.  It is the low-cost solution to fill holes or for formwork.  A typical tandem truck load is 10 cubic yards.

Granite sand - is a coarse sand coming from the fines of crushed granite in two sizes: C33 granite sand or Granite D-sand. Granite sands are most commonly used for pater and stone work.  The C33 variety contains finer particles, compared to the D-sand with coarser particles. D-sand packs slightly better.  A typical tandem truck load is 10 cubic yards.

Lava sand - Organic gardening experts like lava sand because it increases the paramagnetism levels of the soil and stimulates energy and plant growth.  Experts recommend mixing lava sand with compost and tilling the mixture into 3″ of native soil. A typical tandem truck load is 10 cubic yards.

Limestone Sand - is tan / gray in color and hardens as it sets up.  Consisten in texture and easy to work with, this sand us used as a footing under pavers or stone and can be used as a base when building a retaining wall. A typical tandem truck load is 10 cubic yards.

Texas Greensand - A rich source of minerals and iron, this fast-acting and natural marine deposit product is used by organic gardeners and nature enthusiasts as a soil amendment.  Texas Greensand is dry and easy to work with and is often tilled into the soil or broadcast over lawns.  A typical tandem truck load is 10 cubic yards.

Washed concrete sand – Very fine textured sand with the highest percolation rates.  It does not have binding qualities, since it has been cleansed of fines.  This sand is used for creating very loose soil mixes since water will drain through at a very high rate.  the sand particles are slightly larter than washed mortar sand A typical tandem truck  load is 10 cubic yards.

Washed mortar sand - Screened, washed and free of fines with a high percolation rate.  Great for creating very loose soil mixes since water will drain through at a very high rate.  Particles are slightly smaller than washed concrete sand. A typical tandem truck  load is 10 cubic yards.
